Like a cable sweater that is bulky and warm, this large basket will protect its contents while going on display anywhere it can serve best. At the hearth, it is sturdy enough to hold firewood, and with bold woven handles on each side, two can transport heavier loads with ease. Natural color variations in water hyacinth fibers give it further appeal while wrapped cane provides an inner framework. A flat bottom keeps it upright, making it an ideal storage spot for toys or as a catchall for things that have nowhere else to go. Artisanal handcrafting makes this rush wicker basket an heirloom favorite that could fit in living areas, bedrooms or the nursery.
