Scaled down for smaller spaces, the Oval Sweater Weave Hearth Basket matches the larger water hyacinth log basket version in strength and durability. Designed to transport unwieldy, heavy loads, it keeps logs neatly contained around the fireplace. When spring arrives, it becomes a decorative base for dried arrangements. Wrapped rattan cane frames the mouth and adds pole support around the sides. A dense weave in water hyacinth fibers adds nubbed texturing highlighted by variations in natural coloring. Deep enough to conceal smaller items, the tall hyacinth basket can sit next to craft tables or slide in near a desk to hold rolled documents. It can also keep throws neatly stacked with room left over for draping quilts or other coverlets as displays.
